The citizen portal is one of the most important lines of action of the Digital Government Strategy in Mexico.
Based on the President’s Good Government Agenda, it incorporates the six strategic principles of executive power: transparency, low cost, professionalization, digitalization, quality and improved regulation.
As part of the e-Mexico National System, it functions as the single point of access to government services and information and acts as a content supplier for the e-Mexico portal.
In order to eliminate inefficiency in the provision of public services, the citizen portal seeks to provide citizens with state-of-the art customer service in a seamless relationship.
It enables access to different services and content in the fields of e-government, e-health, e-economy, e-education, culture, democracy, sports, family, jobs, business, security, transportation, tourism, migration and the environment.
The portal incorporates a customer-relationship management strategy to satisfy the main users’ needs.
It uses a technological platform that enables interoperability and standardization among the various government offices.
